He let us give him a solidified list of songs along with our full wedding vibe (funky/disco). Kaleb understood the assignment. He played all of the songs we really wanted to hear while also finding some other songs that fit our vibes to a T....also made sure he didn't play songs we didn't want to hear. There are a few photos I wish had been full body rather than cut off at the ankles, oh well. Do you want the wedding playlist to be a reflection of you and your spouse's music choices? Then you want to book Summit Events ASAP. Our wedding DJ was Sean Markland and he was just phenomenal to work with. Prior to our wedding we had a lengthy call with Sean; my husband and I were very picky with our wedding playlist and had a rule of absolutely no traditional wedding reception songs or line-dances. We love electronic dance music (EDM) and wanted our wedding to be "festival/show vibes". We pretty much curated our own playlist of EDM, country, hip-hop, folk and I really wasn't sure how our guests would respond (and we really didn't care because it was our wedding), but the way Sean mixed and transitioned the songs and hyped up the dance floor kept the vibes going all night! We used Summit Events for our up lighting too - highly recommend as it was a great way to turn the room from a classy dinner reception to a dance party in one click! The sound quality was great for both speeches and music; we wanted to make sure guests could hear speeches clearly and we had no issues at all even though it was a large room. I also appreciated the Vibo app that we used to plan out our ceremony, entrances, first dances and our playlist for the night - it was a great tool that kept songs and notes in one place. We would definitely use Sean and Summit Events again and highly recommend them for the best night of your life!”

We worked with The Hook Club on an ambitious two-day wedding, which included them doing live sound for our Friday welcome party, live sound for the music at our ceremony, some deep cut requests, and our desire to not just have "another wedding band." What we got was an incredibly talented, creative, and kind group of people who were ready to make whatever we wanted happen, ready to add ideas and layers, and who then completely blew away our expectations. We're in that era of our lives where we've been to about 100 weddings in the last 10 years, and we can honestly say that no band has even come close to The Hook Club. A year later everyone is still talking about how great our band was. Scott was equally communicative & organized. He set up multiple calls throughout the process, and was super flexible with us when we had to change our venue & timeline 3 weeks before the wedding. I do a lot of research for everything, but I felt like it was especially important because if I’m paying so much for a wedding, I want all of the details chronicled beautifully so those memories can last forever. It was really important for me that the pictures looked super natural and not overly editted as if I was right back in the moment when I looked at them. Ivory Grove let me look at several of their photographers’ portfolios since I was worried they might have different styles. They were all very similar and beautiful, but I did like Erika’s the most and they set me up with her. Erika took our engagement photos and our wedding photos and she did a PHENOMENAL job. She got every angle of every moment, and a lot of my guests mentioned how impressed they were that she was getting on the ground for some shots, setting up lighting, and orchestrating everyone to make sure I got all the photos I requested. Ivory Grove finished editing the photos she took in only 2 weeks, and the album they sent has sooo many photos in it. I should have known because I got a lot of engagement photos back as well, but I was just blown away by the amount of gorgeous photos they gave me. It’s also so easy for me to download them onto my phone or computer. The investment was well worth it, but also they were more affordable than a lot of other photographers I’d looked into! With the full-service package, the team connected us with the most amazing vendors at varying price levels, which we appreciated. This saved us SO much time of having to do our own research. We also really appreciated the honest advice they gave us in terms of where to spend vs. where to save. This is the kind of insight that we would've never had on our own and was so valuable to receive from an experienced wedding planner. There were also a few times where Blaire stepped in and advocated on our behalf with some of our vendors which resulted in less stress for us and more money saved. They also worked with us to execute the vision we had in terms of design and aesthetics. Even though we had a few changes of heart with some design elements along the way, the team didn't flinch and gladly adjusted things for us. Joyfully also offers their own rental items (discount included with the full-service package), and renting most of our decor items through them also saved us a lot of time and money (can you sense a theme here?!). Fast forward to our wedding day, everything looked so beautiful and the evening went so smoothly. It was truly the happiest day of our lives! We had always heard horror stories of things going wrong on your wedding day, but for us, none of that happened & if it did, we didn't even know because Blaire and her team took care of it for us. He double-checked our chosen songs and made suggestions if he thought one of them wouldn't work. He really brought the party to the wedding day! Our MC Matt was top-notch. He made sure that he had everyone's names correct, that our timeline was on schedule, and was able to work on his feet when something didn't happen exactly in the timeline. “My daughter recently got married in Newport, Rhode Island, on September 14th, 2024. She choose to have her reception in a tent on the lawn of the Eisenhower House. The venue was stunning and the woman at EH recommended Clockwork as we were looking for a local band with horns to play at the reception. We were not able to hear them in person, but all the video's posted online more than helped our decision making process and we quickly booked the band 20 months in advance, It was our second decision in the wedding process after the venue -with many, many more to come, but without a doubt - IT WAS THE BEST DECISION!!!! Booking was easy - we sent a check to reserve the date. the catalog of music they are capable of playing is extensive. But we had a tremendous comfort level with Clockwork New England as the contract states YOU GET THE EXACT MUSICIANS you see on all the website videos. There are no switches, or long lists of band members they slot in on any given day. Everyone we saw and loved are the people that showed up for our event. From start to finish - the band rocked the night away - the dance floor was never empty. They sang the bride and grooms song 'You are the Best Thing" and it was spectacular. And every song after that just got us up off our feet. The horns added so much - we keep hearing from friends asking us who they were, because they LOVED the music. The interactions with the crowd also made the night so memorable - and some of the best videos of the night. The band worked well together - and we just cannot say enough about how much they added to the party. Patrick joined a zoom call we had w our planner a week or so earlier than the event - and went over every detail - completely putting our minds at ease. 5 stars are NOT ENOUGH!! They truly made our event the best it could have possibly been! I want to do it again!”

“Our experience working with Jamie and Ceremony DJs can be best summed up by the fact that multiple people told us after the ceremony they wanted to book him for their wedding and at least one got his business card! I can't imagine a better DJ, truly. When we first met with Jamie, he said he could make people dance to anything and would keep people on the dance floor all night, and he WAS NOT LYING. The whole night, the dance floor was PACKED even though it was rainy/muddy/cold/wet. Jamie took us on a journey that covered all of the bases of the music we love to hear and dance to, seamlessly and magically (?) integrating genres with the best mixes, it was pure wizardry and really captured who we were. We as a couple care a lot about music and wanted music that represented who we were and what we like to listen to, and he did not disappoint! So much prep work went into this, he took patience and time to try to understand our tastes and vibe, and it was so cool to have the wedding played on vinyl- basically, Jamie just "got it" from start to finish and we had the best time! Our wedding also got delayed due to rain and a road closure and he was such a good sport, staying late to keep us all dancing for a whole other hour- so fun! Also, when our ceremony musician was stuck in traffic due to the storm, he was so prepared and had our prelude/processional music downloaded so we could still walk down the aisle to the songs we'd chosen. Overall, such a cool, kind, funny guy who was professional and prepared in every way and honest just takes time to meet and know his clients, and clearly just loves to share his love of music. I would book him for everything if I could. BOOK THIS DJ. You will NOT regret it!”
